On March 25, from 1-3:00pm, you will be able to tour the historic Doric House and FUMC. This event is part of the church’s Bicentennial Celebration throughout the year.
Learn about the first Methodist families that came to Flemington and ultimately established the congregation that built the magnificent structure at the corner of Main Street and Maple Avenue. Take in the architecture, stained glass windows, chandeliers, and the original bell that still chimes on Sunday mornings. There will be a description and demo of the 1928 Moeller organ during the tour. You will hear about the important role that the Doric House, now home to the Hunterdon County Historical Society, played in the growth of the church. As you leave the church sanctuary, you will walk next door to tour and learn about this historic building.
