“People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.”
To the people of Flemington UMC,
I want to let you all know about two special things that will be happening this upcoming Sunday at church.
First, my beautiful newborn daughter Harper will be getting baptized during service by our very own District Superintendent, Rev. Sang-Won Doh. Rachel and I are so excited about this special moment in Harper’s spiritual journey.
In addition, our DS will also be preaching and giving us a powerful message about the source of the church’s power. Rev. Sang-Won is a gifted communicator and preacher, which means we’re in for a wonderful and relevant message!
So, all that said, if you’re able to join us, we’d love to see you at church this Sunday!
Finally, as Rachel and I prepare for Harper’s baptism, we just want to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for how you have already welcomed Harper into our church family. As new parents, we very much appreciate the kindness you have shown to our family during this season of new beginnings.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!!
