Hey friends,
For this week’s Messenger, I want to highlight a vital outreach ministry our church is participating in and how you can be a part of it.
For the last few weeks, we’ve been gathering supplies for a back-to-school drive that will benefit families in need who might otherwise struggle with the costs of school supplies. All supplies will be given to the United Way of Hunterdon County, which will then distribute those items.
This Sunday, July 31st, is the last Sunday we’re collecting supplies for this drive. While we encourage you to email me (Pastor Chris) or Gretchen for a complete list of what we’re looking for, here are some of the key items:
backpacks
pencils/pens
folders
glue sticks
folders
dividers
notebooks
If you’re unable to come to church this Sunday but want to contribute, please email Gretchen to set up a time to drop off the supplies. Saints, let’s step up in generosity and make a positive difference in our community!
Peace,
Pastor Chris
Pizza & Movie Night
On Sunday, August 7th at 5:30 pm, our church will have a Pizza & Movie night in Fellowship Hall. The movie that we’ll be watching together is “Remember the Titans,” and free pizza will be provided for dinner. Please let Pastor Chris know if you plan on coming so we can purchase enough food. We are looking forward to seeing you all.
Summer Bible Study: The Book of James
Pastor Chris will be leading a bible study on the New Testament book of James during the summer. The study will meet on Tuesdays at 1 pm in Fellowship Hall. Due to a lack of availability in people’s schedules, we will no longer be having bible studies on Wednesday nights.
