It’s time once more to welcome Jesus Christ into our world. Here’s everything you need to know to share with your friends and neighbors who may not have a church home but would like to celebrate the season with Flemington UMC:
Sunday, December 23, 10:30AM – A Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols
This musical service tells the story of Jesus’s birth through scripture and song. Eight readers from the church have volunteered to share readings – thanks! This is a welcoming, non-intimidating service where everyone can participate freely.
Monday, December 24, 7:00PM – A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Come early, as Greg and Dr. June have prepared twenty minutes of duets they will start at 6:40pm as an extended prelude. This time will help center you in the beauty of God’s loving action toward us all in giving his Son, Jesus, to live with us. The service itself is also very musical with a series of stories and candles to illustrate, culminating in everyone in the church receiving their own candle to welcome in the Light of the World. This is a beautiful, sacred time of reflection where all are welcome to participate and celebrate.
If you are able to assist in leading this worship service, please let Pastor Ben know. God bless you all!
