For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers,
nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord
Romans 8:38-39
One of my favorite features of these phones we carry with us everywhere is the ability to set an unlimited number of reminders and alarms. As soon as I am aware there is a commitment or engagement of any size or seriousness, I’m shouting “hey Siri remind me to (anything).” I’ve got reminders on when to put the trash out, when to give my dog his medicine, when to get my kids off the bus each day, and more.
Each Sunday is its own reminder, too: a reminder that Christ is risen, Christ is risen, indeed. Each time we gather is a “little Easter,” a remembrance of the miracle at the center of our lives. There is a God who made you and me, and this same God loves us. Our mission remains to love this God above all else. and to love others as we love ourselves. No matter what changes the week brings… no matter what stress we carry for things in and out of our control: love God and love others.
Please, church, receive this as a friendly reminder and live with the peace of Christ in your heart at all times. Give thanks for the beauty of this Fall, this world, this church, and all the means we have to speak life and hope to our community this week and in the weeks to come.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Ben

Each Sunday at 10:30am, reach for your phone, tablet, computer, or other internet-connected device for a time of music, prayer, scripture, and preaching.
